The transformation of cities, demographic changes, and new ways of living are driving the emergence of innovative residential models that are challenging the traditional concept of housing. The evolution of citizens’ needs, together with growing pressure on access to housing in major urban centres, is leading to new solutions that seek to combine flexibility, community, sustainability, and quality of life.
This Think Tank session, once again organised in collaboration with Broadway Malyan and IE School of Architecture & Design, will bring together national and international experts to explore the key trends reshaping the residential sector, from coliving and flexible housing to new public-private partnership models and solutions designed around different stages and lifestyles. The discussion will also address the challenges and opportunities that this transformation presents for cities, public administrations, developers, and investors, focusing on how to create more accessible, affordable residential environments that respond to evolving social needs.
A space for reflection and debate to discover experiences, exchange perspectives, and explore how innovation in housing can contribute to building more dynamic, inclusive, and attractive cities—cities capable of responding to today’s urban challenges while fostering the attraction and retention of talent.
