We’re talking more and more about sustainability in architecture and design, but concepts like Net Zero, carbon neutral, ESG, or certification don’t always mean the same thing to everyone.
The first session of the Sustainability Talks invites reflection on these concepts and their impact on the built environment, creating a common ground for professionals who design, build, and manage spaces.
Throughout the session, we will address the three pillars of sustainability—environmental, social, and economic—and how they relate to buildings throughout their life cycle. From design decisions to the selection of materials, through construction and the use of spaces, the discussion aims to examine where the impact of each decision actually lies.
Held in a roundtable format, the session will be guided by the participants’ experiences, questions, and challenges, fostering a practical discussion on how to integrate sustainability into the different stages of a project, a construction site, or the management of a space.
The discussion will be moderated by Alexandra Santos, an architect, founder, and CEO of CPlace, and Inês Viana, an architect, sustainability consultant, and head of business development at CPlace.
Admission to the event is free, but registration is required as seating is limited.
This event will take place on October 27 at 8:30 a.m. at the Laufen Roca Lisboa Gallery.
The Sustainability Talks are a series of roundtable discussions on sustainability in the built environment, organized by CPlace in Lisbon and Porto. Each session brings together 20 professionals from the fields of architecture, interior design, workplace design, facility management, and materials manufacturing.
