Resonant Lightscapes - Gadi Sassoon Live
A feedback loop of light, reflection and sound: Gadi Sassoon transforms the installation’s reflections into music in real time.
Taking place just ahead of London Design Festival, Resonant Landscapes - Gadi Sassoon Live leads into Roca London Gallery’s participation in this year’s festival, exploring the intersections of design, technology, light and sound.
Presented as part of the Resonant Lightscapes exhibition, this live performance by Gadi Sassoon explores the relationship between light, data and sound. Using a camera, Sassoon captures the shifting reflections generated within the installation and transforms them into data, which is translated into sound in real time.
The performance makes audible the feedback loops at the heart of Resonant Lightscapes, allowing the behaviour of reflected light to directly shape the sonic environment. In this live iteration, light becomes both image and information, moving through a continuous cycle of reflection, data and sound.
